    Black & Tan GLH Turbo

So I have a black/tan GLH Turbo and it seems like there aren't a lot of them out there. Is this a rare color combo? Anybody else have one?

I went and test drove a GLH in that color scheme years ago (1991 maybe?). I liked the color scheme because I hadn't seen it before, but I really wanted a GHLT, so I passed on it. That was the only that I think I've seen in that color scheme. Seems like most of the black cars came with silver and red interiors.

Other than turbo vs. non-turbo numbers and Santa Fe color counts, I have never seen a complete breakdown by color by year.

If I recall, there was a thread a while back, and blue seemed to be the rarest interior color because it was only used in Santa Fe blue cars (being used in silver was also discussed, but I don't know if anyone confirmed it). It seemed like tan was the next rarest. Even though it was used in black, red, gold and blue cars, it's usage seemed very low in anything except gold cars (and I think that thread also talked about gold cars were the rarest color).

Red and silver seemed to be the most popular colors.

    Jeremy,
Yes pretty unusual. I've seen about equal # of black with tan and red with tan GLHT's. I personally have seen about 5 of each over the years since new.
Funny Jon mentions SFB and blue interiors. I remember many years ago probably 15+ years ago I mentioned to my friend in SoCal that most (around 95%) SFB GLHT's around MPLS MN area all had blue on blue and he seemed really surprised saying that down where he lives, it was almost always blue with gray interior.
My buddy ordered a new 85 GLHT back in late 84. Ordered red car with gray interior. I remembered the salesperson had to check to see if that combo was available. He thought that would look weird. They wanted to order a red on red. When it came in, the red with gray looked great. You don't see that many red and gray cars either.

One other oddball color which is still somewhat common are black on red cars. A lot of the black cars are grey interiors.

One just surfaced in the Chicago area this weekend also, beyond repair but still an unusual combo.
