I was kidding about it being fast, its not close to even running nor is the motor in the car. It won't be ready in time for sdac but I will be there.

That intake turned out really really nice. Like the red too.

It does look nice. I can't decide if I like red or black for the valve cover/intake. Either one looks darn good, though.

The powder coater had a lot of trouble with the valve cover out gassing and wrecking the finish, it was done two times and the second time he had to apply it while the part was hot from the oven to prevent it from bubbling. Came out ok but not perfect, its really caked on if you look at it close. When I weld used cast aluminum its the same problem. Every time you heat it up oil and stuff comes out of the pores.

Did you try and put it in the oven and bake it out before? I have had good success with doing that. Junk ovens are the ----

The guy does it for a living, it was sand blasted, chemically cleaned and baked three times. He still had trouble and had to apply the powder to the cover while it was hot.

Why didn't you just have a new billet cover made? You seem to be spending that kinda cash on this project Looking good BTW

    Re: 1989 Horizon Masi project

Got her in today, tight fit in the front but it looks like its going to work out good. Probably do A/C next year for a project. Any suggestions for where to run my second shifter cable through the car. I have one through the factory auto hole and don't know where to add the other.

That is impressive Joel, the IC and intake manifold are top notch. When I was younger, I used brite colors in the engine bays, in my golden years wrinkle black seems to be my go to color

Got the huge air/ water heat exchanger to fit behind the grill with the cars radiator, should be pretty inconspicuous. Also mocked up the turbo for the layout of the downpipe / wastegate.

Ahgg! Stop it! Too Much eye candy Looks great Joel One thing tho, the heater hose for turbo oil return will work for a while but will eventually separate at the high oil temps and fail. Source out some silicone line for that

Did we ever see pics of the header by itself? I don't think we did.. Have any?
