    My 1985 Dodge ram Project

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and i need someones opinions and advice about my project, I have a 1985 dodge ram D-100 2wd single cab im currently building i plan on putting a 440 in it and Twin turboing it possibly, but to be honest i have no idea what im doing or what im going to want to use in this, it is my first project ever. So if you guys could give me some advice or teach me some things that i might need to know about doing this that would be very helpful and a appreciated!

P.S i already have a 727 transmission for it that ill be getting rebuilt. i was also thinking about possibly 4 linking it maybe?

Welcome to the site! I would love to see this project happen.

What do you know about turbos etc? Have you decided if you're going to go EFI or carb? Or do you really have absolutely no idea what you have going on yet?

I've been leaning towards EFI because i just prefer it i guess, i know a tiny bit about turbos. I know that im going to want alluminum heads, forged bottem end etc.
but other then that i know i want it run 12s maybe? i want it to be a nice sunday driver or a special occasion vehicle with some power to put other vehicles in there place.

    A. How much coin do you have to throw at this? Expect to spend way more than that truck and engine are worth.

    B. Start here look at the "frequently bought together" and "also bought" area for other books. Read. Read until you are puking turbo knowledge, then read some more.

    C. Do it, have a f'in blast, and make a build thread.

    How is the project coming?
I assume the 727 is for a big block. You will want a shift kit installed and depending on how you build the engine you may need a high stall converter.
A efi 440 should get you around 500hp without the turbo. That will make a spirited ride! With gears & tires it could put you in the 13's.
Maybe that will be enough for a first time project?
