    Yep, it's a stupid question in the face of all the pioneering you are doing on this car but why red?

    Since this was a junk motor I thought I should check to see how much grinding I could do on the oil return passage to clear the starter before it cut through. The block is really thick in this area. It took nearly a quarter of an inch to clear the starter and still didn't break through.

    Now you just need to go the rest of the way so it's known how close to breaking through it really is...

    Finished up the rear brace for the transmission. I used an original 2.2 brace and with some cutting, grinding and welding it fits pretty well.

    Hey Randy, not much to report on the Omni. Family and health concerns have sidelined me for the last few months. I have been collecting parts for the rear engine install and now I have pretty much everything to do it. Hopefully this winter will be a better time for me to get some stuff done. When I have been able I've been working on the my Spirit ES daily driver so I will try to get some stuff posted on it in the near future. Thanks for the inquiry, hopefully I will be back in action soon!
