    Cast piston issues

So I took the head off my Omni today to start the process of swapping a single piston. I was told it was .020 over Mahles in there. No biggie. Well stamped on top of the piston is .025 and part number 5131402. Great. Anyone know where I can find a single .025 over cast piston?

    Re: Cast piston issues

Have you measured the piston yet?
I remember something about this a long time ago and there was some confusion on the .025.
    The part #
    5131402 025 really meant
    5131402 .5 as in .020".

    Going from memory.

    Thanks
    Randy

If that's the case then sweet. No I haven't measured it yet. I ran out of time. I'll try and pull it tomorrow. What's a stock one measure?

The stock bore is 3.445 and .020 would be 3.465. The piston skirt should measure about .0015 less., 3.4635"

    Thanks

Cylinder bore is reading 3.464 according to my brown and sharpe dial calipers. So .020 over?

    Re: Cast piston issues

According to my iPhone calculator .025 is 3.470 which it's nowhere near that. So I'm gonna order a .020 over piston and run it!
