Left another comment or two, not that I think it'll make a difference.

Re: MPGMike, I want my head back!!!

Mike Holler surfaced on Facebook trying to sell cars and car parts and I posted the URL linked to this page. The Facebook group admin decided to ban him and this is what Mike Holler posted via another person because he was banned.

    "Harry Lui vs mpgMike"

"How does one start? First, Harry is a victim and I am the bad guy; at least in this one particular instance. I decided to address this ongoing debacle for the benefit of those that might listen (read).

For several years I served the Turbo Dodge community with highest quality workmanship & service. I made sure to frequent the forums offering advice whenever I felt qualified. In one instance, someone purchased a ported head from me, used it for 2 years, tore the engine down for other reasons, found a crack in the head, had it pressure tested (it passed), yet I still ported a replacement head for my costs only. I served Turbos Unleashed with the ported exhaust manifolds. They took 2 days (minimum 16 hours) in which I was recompensed $80 each. That works out to $5 per hour, not even minimum wage, yet I did it for the friends I made.

Harry approached me to port a 2.2 head about the time I was making a career change. He loved it, so much so he asked me to port his Volvo head. I turned him down; in fact I seem to recall I said “no” 3 times before finally caving in and agreeing. Life moved in a new direction, and I didn’t have the time to work with it. He said he’d be patient.

Since saying “yes”, I loaned out critical tools for the job. I never got them back. I found myself in a position where I couldn’t deliver on my promise. Currently, a consulting gig that’s paid the rent for the past 6 years just came to an end. I am not in a good place financially, which is one of the reasons for the multiple posts with items for sale.

Have you ever done almost everything right, but did one thing wrong and that one wrong thing became your legacy?"

    Mike Holler

This is what I posted in return.

There is no disputing of facts: I sent him parts and money and I got nothing in return.

I also noticed there is no offer of apology, no offer of payment plan, no offer of the cylinder head back, not even a simple call/message.

He must be hoping I would just go away. Mike Holler intention is clear, I will never see my cylinder head or money again. Which I have long accepted and moved on. I don't even own that car anymore.

Would you let your friends (even Facebook friends) make a deal with someone like that? I know I wouldn't.

Spread the word, repost what Mike typed, I think the more people know about how Mike Holler operates the better.

So, beware if you decide to do any dealings with Mike Holler!

Re: MPGMike, I want my head back!!!

Mike was always good to me and my customers. Tough to say exactly what happened in his life but he should try to make things right with you. I would give him another chance. What do you have to lose?

Sounds like he made some bad decisions financially and has no intention of even trying to make it right, just wants people to feel okay enough to buy his stuff to bail him out of his financial jam again.

He says he loaned out critical tools for the job, well OK so he couldn't port the head, at least ship it back....hence the title of this thread.

Re: MPGMike, I want my head back!!!

This didn't have to become his legacy.

There is a philosophy in how you treat a customer. It says that there are very very few customers that expect everything to to go right every time. The way you show a customer your level of care is how you handle it when things go wrong. And that doesn't mean handing out freebies. It just means being apologetic, and making the customer whole.

There's 316 words from MPGMIke above explaining what happened to Harry's money and cylinder head. At least one of them should have been "sorry".
