Car was primed and blocked down three times. This is how she sits right now after three coats of color and three coats of clear. The plan is to cut and buff it out and add three more coats of clear.

Your Cuda' looks amazing, I'd imagine it beginning to obsess you as it gets closer to being put it on the road!

Are you using a cheesegrater to match the gills? My preference is 71 styling over 70, but either way is a winner...great job

    Re: 70 Cuda Project

Been super busy with work over the holidays, so I haven't been on the forum much. I'm still working on this thing, slowly but surely. Back in November I took it to a friends shop who was helping me get a few issues worked out. While it was there we fired it up for the first time. Open exhaust manifolds are LOUD! Two days later, on my birthday, I was able to drive it on its maiden voyage. (Okay, I just drove it the trailer and back into the shop) I'm just waiting on my TTI 3" exhaust now and then it's ready for street duties this coming spring. I put the billboards on myself, now all I need to do is mount the front grill and bumper and get my new wheels and tires mounted. Then comes the interior. Click image for larger version.

Yes, I have spent a ton of time on this in the last year. I'm too impatient to drag out a restoration, I want to drive it! And yes, it will definitely be ready for MATS. It may still have white seats covers and shag carpet headliner, but the exterior and under the hood will look excellent!

Pictures are blurry, but you get the idea. Under the hood is basically done.

Getting closer. Ralley wheels are mounted up and I about have the front end all figured out. I'm using 70 fenders, a 71 grill, and a 72 header panel. It's been quite the project trying to get is all together to say the least.

    Re: 70 Cuda Project

I've been saving these srt4 seats for the R/T, but the Cuda seems to like them.

Is it bad if I say that seeing those seats in another car reminds me of the dreams of our bestest Utah Dodge friend ever?
