    P body strut bearing noise.

Got a noise on the front of my shadow has new struts and strut bearings. One question is does anyone have an exploded parts view of the assembly and two does the top rubber isolator that sits on the spring get aligned pointing toward where the hub mounts. The rubber isolators have notches in them and I'm pretty sure they are originally pointing toward the hub but not sure. These are setup different then an lbody and kinda confusing .

I recently put new struts + hardware in my Shelby CSX. The top spring isolator has a square notch cutout that is installed with it pointing outwards toward the wheel/hub. With it installed correctly, you should be able to see the notch easily if you look way up into wheel well.

I had them apart yesterday and that part I definitely got right. Thanks for clarifying that part. Hope I'm not missing anything in the assembly of the strut.

I wish I had an exploded view of the parts for you. I do remember it is quite easy to get some of the cup/washers on upside down. I wish I had a scanner as I would gladly post a picture from the FSM. Hopefully somebody else can post a good picture.
