1985 White Daytona Turbos??

Ok, I was milling through the 84 and 85 parts books, looking at decals for Daytona Turbos. I noticed something strange.

Although not listed in the 1985 Brochure, the parts diagrams show decals for a PW2 Daytona Turbo. White. The decals have white centers in 'turbo'. Then I went back and looked at some Google images of Daytona Turbos, and the ones I formerly thought were a very light silver are actually white. So they do exist.

Just sharing some interesting-to-me knowledge since all along I have trusted that brochure.

There were no Daytona Turbos in 86, only Base and Z.

And.... ta da! I guess I just thought they were silver...

My 1st ride in a Daytona was a white 85 turbo just like that. Started this whole disease.

84 Silver/Black
85 White/Black
86/86 Red Laser XT

Looking for any of these cars.

In the brochure at least, there were no 84 White Daytonas of any kind. That car has 84 4-lugs, an 85 spoiler, and its white... with all the mods people do over the years, hard to say if its original.

I know the 85 White Turbos are real since I found the white decals in the parts book.

There were no white Dodge Daytona's in 1984. 1985 was the first year for G-bodies to have white. I remember this vividly because my dealership got a white '85 Laser XE turbo that was really nice with black leather interior.

Oddly, the 85 Laser brochure does not list white either. Maybe it was a mid-year addition, or 'late availability'...
