    BCM repair?

I've got 3 different BCM's for the 1992 model year that are acting erratically. Two are the premium modules from a LeBaron and the other is a base.

The main issue I've had is the windshield wipers running non-stop...has anyone had any luck repairing these?

It might not be the BCM. Have you checked the wiper motor itself? There are contacts that it uses internally for the intermittent/park feature and if those are messed up, it could cause some issues as well. Just a thought...

IF the wipers are the only issue i'd suspect it's not actually the BCMs.

I would be looking at the wiper delay module. On most cars it's a little grey box under the steering column.

Well, the BCM "clicks" almost constantly...I thought that was the wiper delay? But it also randomly chimes as if a door has been opened, and the automatic door lock feature goes off numerous times during a trip. A few of the digital gauges are acting erratically too, jumping all over the scale.

No, they are wide open. It sounds to me like there is a bad connection someplace. I'd be checking the pins in the connectors to make sure they are tight.

    Re: BCM repair?

Ok, i changed my mind. Those issues definitely sound BCM related. It could simply have one intermittent ground connection or something silly like that, though.

I've been getting the chimes too, but no wiper or door lock issues. Well more accurately, I haven't had the door lock posession for several years, long before the other issues.
