50 Trim Stage 2 Tuning Mods

    Hi all,
I am new guy installing a 50 trim stage 2 on a 1989 2.5 turbo caravan automatic. I have a 255lph in tank, full 3" exhaust, mild ported head with +1 valves. I plan on running low boost until I can get the rest of the supporting mods. I do have some +40's I can install. Can I get it to run right with just the +40's and a stock calibration at low boost or do I need a stage 4 or 5 calibration with an FPR?
    Thanks in advance.

Buy and install a wideband o2 sensor, do it before buying anything else.

Leave the 40%+ off and use stock injectors with stock calibration.

Thanks for the reply. The next part I will buy will be a wideband 02 sensor. How much boost should I run with the 50 trim stage 2 with stock injectors and stock calibration to be safe? What #'s should the wide band read at idle, part throttle and, wot?

    Stock boost.

14.1-15.1 at idle and below 0psi
    12-13 0-7psi
    10-11 8psi +

You should most likely be fine with stock boost and the larger turbo as previously stated. I would get the wideband in the car and then start bumping it up a little at a time. I would check out www.boostbutton.com for cals also.

The +1 valves will require a slight bump in the PumpEff table above 3500 rpms. Same for mild porting possibly.

Thanks. What would be the next step in mods? I was thinking intercooler, bov, Stage 4 or 5 calibration, +40's, 3 bar map, FPR, some fuel rails, 2 piece intake with with lengel upper plenum, then 20+ psi and 400hp later goals.

After the O2, I would probably start going my own cals personally, but I enjoy that a lot. An IC would be next for sure. The one piece isn't helping you, but you can still make some good power with one. I wouldn't turn up the boost until you have the larger injectors.

Amazon, as of this post, is selling LC-1 kits but shipping an LC-2 instead. That's what I got.
I see that the LC-2 sells for $190 by itself.....
You can learn to tune here, plenty of folks will help.
