Ok 88 dodge shadow turbo stock and unmollested and the issue is that when I hit the brake light the rear defroster will kick on and then not shut off till the delay for it is done. When it does this the third brake light will shut off when I hit the brakes and then stay lit up when I let off. Pull off bang on the third brake light housing and then it worked fine. Thinking a short any ideas before I look at it tomorrow thanks.
Another thing is when lifting and lowering the hatch the lights will cut on and off at certain times. Pulled every piece of interior trim I could and checked for cut wires and found nothing. Can't see up into the body where it could be worn thru or something like that. Disconnected the defroster switch and lights work fine.
Find and clean the grounds. Always first place to start on electrical problems.
