Since I already have a thread for my car, I thought I'd start a new one for the Super Stock engine I'm going to build for it. This will be a long process, if for no other reason than I decided on a TIII head, and I don't yet even have one.
Anyway, the plan is to use a Tall-Deck block, long rods, forged pistons, and a TIII head. Raise the compression to naturally aspirated levels, and see what it can do. I'm hoping for 250hp to start with more to come later.
Here's the thread that got me started - http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/sh...led&highlight=
This will be for NHRA Super Stock, GS. SS/GS is a FWD 'corporate engine' class. Basically, engine swaps are legal, max displacement is 165cuin, and the total weight of the car+driver must be greater than 16lbs/cu-in of engine displacement. The only engine tech is to pump it for displacement. So, this should be fun.
There are 2 other cars In the country that regularly run SS/GS - both are Neons.
