Tuner Studio 2.4 Beta / 2.5 Release Canadate

For those of you that receive emails fro EFI will know that the newest Tuner Studio Beta is being prepped for final release and if you want to get access to it early you can.

If you haven't already been following the beta TunerStudio track, it may be time for you to check it out. The current beta version 2.4.08 has been promoted to release candidate status and will be rolling out as the new Generally Available (GA) version in coming weeks. Hundreds of beta testers have already been using the new TunerStudio MS throughout the development cycle and the feedback for improvements and bug fixes has been critical to making sure this new release brings you the best TunerStudio ever.

This is a free upgrade to all existing Registered TunerStudio users and you will be please to see we have been BUSY!
The beta version installs in parallel and does not effect your current installation, will pick up your existing registration information and recieve far more frequent auto updates. You will still have your stable version there to fall back to in the even you run into a problem.

To download this Release Candidate go to the beta download site:
    http://www.efianalytics.com/TunerStudio/beta/

All your projects and personal settings will not be altered by either auto update or the installer.

Some of new level features since 2.0 (Follow the link for more details):

I normally don't bother posting things like this but a few new features caught my eye. First one being the 'Warm Up Auto Tune'. I took a quick look at it and its pretty sweet.

It appears to do just as it says. I think it goes off of your standard AFR table just like the regular auto tune. This is nice first starts or getting things working just right in the cold.

Another thing that I liked was the Auto Data Logging. You can set MS up to start logging during a certain event and then to stop logging at another event. Lets say you want it to log once you hit boost and then stop logging after you drop under 80kpa. You can do that. No more sorting through huge data logs where most of it is you driving under atmospheric pressure. It is especially nice because you can now do more than one pull and have a bunch of logs to look at instead of sifting through a bunch of junk.

Lastly, the MPG gauges are kind of neat. Im sure it is not that hard for the MS to figure out your MPG once it knows your rate of travel and injector size (flow rate, number of injectors, etc)

Install is simple and it detected my previous registration. My previous Tuner Studio install was not effected either which is nice because 2.4 is still in beta.

You can download the Beta here or go to the Tuner Studio site and find it under the "Beta Downloads"

I figured it would be a good idea to post up. Alot of our serious members are or are thinking about running Megasquirt.

I already am running a Megasquirt-II (Extra code) and am more than willing to help others with install and tuning issues . Tuner Studio and the MS-Extra code have come a VERY LONG way since 2006 when I started my initial MS-II install.

looks cool. ill have to get a friend to update his current tunerstudio on his mustang.

as someone who really enjoys the calibration process on any platform (not just stock chrysler ecu or MS) i will have to add that the VE table needs to be dialed in darn near perfectly on a fully warmed up car FIRST before the warm up enrichment autotune is adjusted or you will be chasing your tail. just a warning/word of advice.

Yes. Usually on a first start, I will just keep changing the VE table while the car warms up, just to keep it happy. Once warmed up and the idle is dialed in correctly I will let it cool down and work on the warm up.

Very cool, getting the warmup to work well is my biggest concern with going MS on my neon.
