    car running lean?!?!?!

i installed a wideband last night on my 89 shelby intercooled 2.5. its running a stock t1 computer. at cold it reads 10.2-1 (im assuming this is just because the sensor is warming up) then once everythings warm it runs like a 16.5-1 at idle?!?!? acceleerating or cruising around 15.5-1. isnt that pretty lean?! but at wot throttle it drops to a 10.5-1!!! or if im in low revvs it works its way from 12-1 to 10.5-1 like clockwork..

It's a little lean at idle... should hover around 14.7.
10.5:1 WOT is very safely rich.

15 16 even 17 afr the car can run ok. I have experimented heavily with lean under vac. it doesn't really yield better MPG though..
What wideband o2 system is it and when/how did you calibrate it?
It appears as though itmight be reading a little (only a little)higher than it should.
I have seen most stock cals dip into high 9's under boost!

    :/
If there is any calibration procedure outlined for that device (i never used one of those before myself) I would do it for peace of mind.
    Especially with a new sensor..

it says in the manual that there is never any open air calibration ever needed because theres some sort of laser cut resistor that makes it perfect...
