The stock digital dash refused to play well without the smec. I could get everything to work, just not correctly. The tach showed 3500 at idle, the fuel gauge read full all the time etc... So I sacrificed an old analog cluster for some new Intellitronix gauges. I still might tint the overlay and see how it looks blacked out.

Cool Re: Lebaron convertible 16V Swap. Technically speaking.

Well, after a little over a year of countless late nights and busted knuckles, it's pretty much done. I still have some bugs to work out and some fine tuning to do, but it drives pretty well. http://s597.photobucket.com/user/Gun...tml?sort=3&o=0

Looks like I'm having trouble posting pics, I have plenty more tho. I'll try again later.

What did you do as far as the front suspension?

Front suspension is basically stock. Cast arms, stock springs and struts. The spindles get swaped left to right to move the rack forward.

The paint is based on Viper GTS Blue, I just changed some of the toners when I mixed it to give it a little more flake.

Couldn't get the stock digital dash to work with the V8? Probably sensors and more wiring than you wanted to deal with, I'd imagine.

I actually got everything to work with the factory cluster, calibration was the issue. With the smec missing, the tach signal was way high, the vss wouldn't read, and the sending unit in the fuel cell showed full all the time. I originally used the stock sending units for the temp and oil pressure, they worked normally. I just decided I wanted everything working correctly, the aftermarket gauges were just the easy solution.
