I also need standard T3 so no drilling or tapping for me.

Chris would it be too difficult to add an option for standard T3 flange?

No problem. Explain in detail how we can tap without drilling though

OK, now I'm confused. I want to be able to drill/tap/stud whatever to whatever flange turbo I'm gonna run. I don't really want to take it to a machine shop to get it flycut tho Is there simply just an "Undrilled" option?

He's just screwing with the way you worded it. You can't tap it without drilling a hole. The way you said it made it sound like you didn't want it drilled but still wanted it tapped

The standard Chrysler flange does the trick for you (what it normally comes with).

LOL! I know, was just playing along.

Regarding the turbo mating flange it may be best to machine the flange angle based on which turbine housing you will be using. Remember, Chrysler housings have a steeper slope than most others as we already discussed. You may run into intake interference problems if you use the same surface angle

    Re: Turbos Unleashed Cast Header

Not to complicate this any further but, I have to ask Chris specifically and anyone else who has used this header. When designed (I assume), you placed the turbo where it had the most clearance possible for say a TU hybrid or other water cooled cartridge. Do you think that with just an oil cooled/lubed turbo, more clearance might be gained by changing the angle of the flange (a reason not to machine the flange)? If not machined is there enough material to change the angle several degrees (rotating the cartridge away from the firewall)?
I just want to ask as many questions possible for everyone's benefit. I have the ability to machine the flange but, I probably will not change my current request.
The "drill and tap" is just a subconscious habit from doing hole callouts on drawings.

Intake clearance is more of a concern then firewall when using Ford style housings as all body types have already been tested using Chrysler wet bearing TU Hybrid turbos. Additional firewall clearance can be achieved by machining down header and/or turbine housing flange. Clearance issues are directed more towards compressor cover and turbine housing choices as the cartridge is always smaller.

Hmm, just been reading through the last couple pages in this thread. Does anybody have any more info or experience running one of these with a rod shifted transmission?

The only 8v car I'll have left at this point is my 87 S which I was planning to keep rod shifted.

I've been told it won't work with the rod linkage - at least not without modification - guessing major but Idono

suposedly the down pipe is one issue as this manifold moves the turbo toward the driver's side
