    L Body passenger axle install

I'm finishing up the engine install in my 86 Shelby Charger. I am trying to re-install the passenger side axle, but the two bolts for the support bearing do not line up to the bracket on the back of the engine. The bolt holes in the bearing sit about 1/2 inch away from the bracket so there is no way to get the bolts started. The axle is installed in the transmission all the way, but it acts like it needs to go another 1/2 in to line up. I am not sure what I am missing here. Are the support brackets off the back side of the engine different for different body styles? The engine I am installing is from an 86 Lebaron, and I don't think I swapped that bracket over because it looked the same as the one on the Charger block. Any input is appreciated.

Re: L Body passenger axle install

I answered my own question, the brackets are different. Just swapped them out.
