This is a 8 Blade Holset HX35 I was going to rebuild and use on my Volvo. I decided to go with a smaller quicker spool 20G. I was not going to run the at the power levels the Holset can provide
Turbo is in good shape. I would rebuild it before installing, since it looks like it was leaking quite a bit of oil.
Hard to tell in the pic, but is that a clamped on compressor housing or the giant snap ring. I only ask because clamped on would make the turbo a WH1C. Though functionally the same as the HX35, the rebuild kits are different IIRC.
Looks like a HX35W to me. You can see the snap ring groove and the snap ring just off to the left in one picture.
Yeah it has the giant snap ring. I put it back on after taking the photos.
