early control arm bushing replacement

I pulled the r/f control arm off of the omni to replace the bushings with poly ones which I picked up from FWD a little while back. It is the energy suspension kit. Is there any writeup on line for this kit that is any good?

Also, it looks as though I might have one of these kits already on the car. The part # on the front half of the rear bushing is the same as in the new kit, but the rear half of it looks different. Here are a couple of pics to show you guys what I mean.







How do you guys take out the front pivot bushing? Do you press it out, or what?

Yep, you press out the front one and press the new one back in. Don't damage the metal sleeve or your hooped. Yep, the rear ones have been done before.

Thanks for the advise. It think that the front pivot is made of the same material as is in the kit as the feel the exact same. I think I just might put the arm back in and call it a day. I can't see replacing the prefectly good bushings with new ones. I will save them for my next project.

i did mine in my driveway via a torch just watch out for the soot don't do it near anything you don't want dirty
