I made the bulk of the injector wiring harness tonight. I'm just waiting to get the engine in the car to terminate everything. I now know what Clark felt like while waiting on his bonus check. I just need the clutch to come in and I can really get rolling.

Did some more wiring tonight. I have the engine pretty much ready to drop in. The clutch will be here on Thursday, so that should give me close to 48 hours. Plenty of time...

I'm now in possession of a clutch. In the next 36 hours, I should be able to get the entire drive train, suspension, brake and electrical system back in the car with some sort of seats and steering wheel, right?

There is now an engine and trans in the car. I just need to hook everything up, fabricate some stuff, terminate everything on the harness, brakes, suspension, etc. I think I might eek this out.

I'm sure you already know this, but don't rush yourself too much. Be sure to look things over a couple times as you do things so you don't have to undo anything to get at something you missed.
(If that makes sense. That's what always trips me up.)

I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. I'm also attempting to actually tighten everything properly. Nothing beats the time that someone arrived at my place with their freshly put together car, having everything held in place by divine intervention.

Jon trotter is here and in full effect. We now have a K frame, MC, right side suspension and brakes are close to done. I think it will mechanically make it there tomorrow.

Jon has the ability to put things on the internet while they happen, so I'm guessing that may occur sometime around noon. I have to burn a chip and hope that the old computer didn't get fried during the fire. Worst case scenario, I try to turn the fuel pressure down really, really low. We have the drive train in and really just need to hook up some electrical stuff, install the steering wheel and interior. Fluids, etc. and the intercooler piping of course. It shouldn't really take long if tonight was any indication.

The car is running and driving, but a bad WBO2 controller stopped it from making an appearance at SDAC 29. I hope to have it out on the road this weekend.

Well, I'm waiting on a couple O2 controllers for cars, so I decided to finish splicing in the front end lighting which was cut off of the harness I purchased for the car. Everything should be good to go. I'll be running relays for the headlights, so I need to finish that off. I did get a chip burned for the car which ran it really well. Even with the faulty O2 sensor signal, it ran alright. I think I'll be off to the races when I finally get that in.

CSX #42, once again proving that you won't have a fuel pump fail unless you just put in a full tank of gas. Fortunately, I have one on hand. Unfortunately, I believe I gave all of my gas cans to the super weird guy Joy recently brought home who was stranded on the side of the road. Good times.

    Re: Csx vnt #42

That is a good idea. Perhaps I'll use this old pump to make one.

Today proved interesting when it came to the car. The old fuel pump was certainly bad, as it wouldn't make more than about 80PSI with the return blocked. The car cut out a couple times like it had a bad HEP too. I had it happen in the dark on the way home. Of course I didn't have a flashlight, so I had to change it out in the dark. Not a big deal, but a light would have made it easier. The car resisted starting up right away, but when I pulled one of the plugs and reinserted it the car fired with no problem. It ran fine the whole way home. When I turned the car off and came inside to put the kid away, it obviously decided to show that it wasn't the HEP, or wasn't just the HEP, as the car had to be pushed into the garage after refusing to start.

I'm thinking this is most likely a wiring problem, as the fuel pump will prime with no issues when it dies. Maybe it could be a bad SBEC, since this is the one which was in the fire. I guess I'll have to find out soon.

every summer or fall for 6 years my turbo turismo would be sitting with yet another set of spun rod bearings so whatever was left in the tank went into my fairmont
being cheap and broke was a routine

I'd just stick a hose on the pump , disconnect the plug and attach the leads from my 3-5 volt cigarette vending machine power supply
    yep it was slow

came from the bar I grew up having more or less right across the street when it closed

think - "road house" - as in the movie

but if it looks familiar .. this one's been in several movies and tv shows

lol you guys wouldn't know it but you've all seen a lot of my neighbourhood
jackman went through the windshield in X-Men about 30 seconds down the road from that place - same spot I found my first dog after she'd been "dumped"
and the suspension bridge in the scene where the cop pulls over the young couple in one of the chucky movies is on my route to the wreckers..where one bright morning all three versions of the GTX in Tommy Boy were parked on trailers
gas station scene was shot in Stouffville (stove ville) just north of me

and I'll add those cars were all GREEN , not blue
the original version of the movie shows it as green but the edited version it's "adjusted to be blue but some scenes parts & bits are still green
pale pasty "grabber green" like a 70 mustang
    - the littlest hobo dogs were out for their mourning runs in the hydro field around the corner most mornings for a while too

    sigh , sorry , it's 1am I rambled ..
