    T3 GTP build

To all who did not get a ride I apologize. The time just flew by so fast I wish there was more time for everyone to experience Frankenstein.

Great job all weekend Mike! And thanks for the ride, even with the pouring rain. I have at least on drag race video, but it's the elimination run in Q8 not the 11.99. I'll get it loaded up today or tomorrow.

    Re: T3 GTP build

A brand new sequential transverse box is around $10k to start. Then you have to add in the bellhousing, axles, shift mechanism, mounts, flywheel, clutch, throw-out bearing, and most likely it will be a hydraulic clutch so slave cylinder (if it's not part of the TOB), clutch master cylinder, and the supporting stuff for that.

In the end figure about $25-30k for a working sequential box. That's actually on the lower side. The Quaife boxes are where I got my pricing from, but those are old figures. There are a lot of manufacturers of sequential transverse boxes and to get one that will handle the torque we make (within the manufacturer's published specifications) you are going to have to drop some coin.

Yeah...been eyeballing this for a while. LOL

Thanks Brian. It sure was fun chasing it on street tires.

I know he has a lot more in him with a hard launch on drag radial but like you said it probably won't get out to the drags that often.

That's what the S is for

Thanks for building me (2) 11 second cars. They are totally different from each other but at the same time both are bad --- and fun to pilot.

Was great to see the car in person and to chat with you about it for a bit. Good job on the 11.9 1/4 too! Impressive for a car thats considered more a "track car" so to speak. -Dan Jerome

    Belt chirp gone.

Held sandpaper to the crank pulley ( yes with my fingers and while the car was running ) and it sent right away.

Why didn't i do that sooner I ask myself.

Cars and Coffee on Saturday. Maybe an award to first guy who knows what it is.

Can you make a 568 work? It shifts quicker than the 555 IMO.

Now this is crazy, how did that not happen?

Good thing your only 45 min away and have to pick up your slicks anyway. Come down whenever you'd like.

Now Alan on the other hand may have to wait till next year if i bring it.

So I take it you didn't notice those two extra timeslips in the console? Shouldn't leave your keys in the car at the track. I figured you'd say yes anyway, I just couldn't find you

    Re: T3 GTP build

I don't know if it will work or not but I know DJ was working on a sequential shifter for the 568 but is switching to the 850. He said he was going to make it for that trans now. Looked pretty cool, I don't know if the 850 will bolt to the 2.2 like the 568 to the 2.4 but when he gets it done it would be pretty sweet for any track car. no chance of going into 1st instead of 3rd.
