Description: This is a BRAND NEW in the crate/box 2.4L short block. It's for JA vehicles (Cirrus, Stratus, Breeze) but I've seen these put in Neons and other vehicles, even turbo'd. I was originally going to put it in a Neon myself, which is not going to happen at this point. I removed the balance shaft chain because I was going to run it without the shafts so all that it needs is for a new chain to be put back on if desired.

Shipping will be expensive! I don't know what this weighs to even get a quote. I will deliver it within a 100 mile radius if necessary but I will need money for gas, tolls, etc.

It will definitely fit 2000 and earlier as it was ordered for a '97 and has '99 internals. The oil return passages changed in '01 so if you wanted to use this in a JR (2nd Gen) you would have to get use an earlier head but I believe everything else is the same.
