looks like the range is -25% to +25%

can mpscandroid handle setting it up like that?

im ok with setting it to 0-50% and just keeping in mind that its not right but i know how to see where it is.

i may try that for the idle cell and then start the car and play with fuel pressure to see how it responds.

    Re: MPScanDroid

I tried installing MPScanDroid for the first time yesterday. I've tried the link on the first page of this thread and also on the Google site. They seem to install fine but when I try to open the app it immediately closes and gives the sorry message that it stopped working. Usually a little later it will open the smaller message windows on the bottom of the screen that has a message like searching for MPSCILINK, then MPSCILINK not found. But it doesn't even show that MPSCANDROID is running. I'm not sure what I can check to determine if it is just an issue with my phone or not. It's a Galaxy S5 running Android 6.0.1
    Any advice?

    Re: MPScanDroid

dan, i'll take a look. i had the same thing happen on my s7. i fooled around with my phone to make sure all the developer options for sideloading were on as well as having to give it some special permission. when mpscandroid begins it starts a separate service to search for the mpscilink stuff. if sounds like mpscandroid bombs out but that service continues running until it resolves the mpscilink search. i'll play with it this weekend. i had updated to the latest android OS so i blamed it on that. might be something else!!

    Update:
MPScandroid is working on my phone now. When I attempted before, I got the security prompt to allow the installation one time. For some reason that wasn't enough. Today I tried changing that in the security settings menu prior to installation and it seems to have loaded properly.

    Re: MPScanDroid

the android o/s has gotten very strict on application permissions, primarily as a result of demands from the google playstore and other security breaches. i originally had updated the software to a newer SDK version but that required a bunch of extra tweaks to handle the permissions. so since we don't use the play store i dropped it back down to a level that is less onerous. you may have been caught in that switch. sorry.

No problem! I'm just glad I can start playing around without needing a new device.

    Re: MPScanDroid

so an issue today with mpscandroid.

i emailed myself my mpc files and my usersetting file from my tablet and went to create profiles that i had on my older versions of mpscandroid.

my layout will show up and the mpscilink connects but when i go to log, i dont see any frames counting up and the gauges dont show anything.

    any ideas?

    The current mpscandroid is v2.0.0.9
Is that the version you have?

You were able to make a new profile with that transferred .mpc?
You did move that file to the mpscandroid mpc data folder, correct?
When you made the new profile you did select SMEC TI as ECU type?

Do you have an SD card mounted in mpscilink?
Logging will not work without an SD card.
    Does Monitor work?

    Have you tried updating everything?
