I think I enjoyed it more than you. Great pictures, tell Neil we're interested in more!!!
Any idea what car the "wide body" red Daytona with custom tailights is? I'm not familiar with it.
Anyways... I'm off to download and save (steal) some great pictures.

No thanks required! I'm glad to do it and admittedly I did a little daydreaming too looking at those cars and then looking at mine.. which one are you! LOL. I've had several too. I wish more folks were as eager to post their pics like Neil. I've got several more he sent me privately, I'll post them when I can figure out how to on here.

I have like, 19 other photos he sent me to share with everyone here and I'm not seeing how I can post them on here. Anyone care to help?
Thanks for that link. Those photos were awesome.
I have more I've been given permission to post on the turbo-dodge forums but I can't add an attachment. Would a moderator please contact me privately and I will forward them so they can be posted here where they belong?
Send me an email with them attached and I'll post them up.
Pm'ed you
Thanks for the appreciation as well but thanks REALLY needs to go to Neil over there for sharing his awesome story (and photos) with me and allowing me to share it publicly on here. Thanks for your help too Cordes!
Wow, awesome pics. Thanks for sharing the link.
That link and these extra pics made my day!
So this guy Neil was Shelby's 'Press guy' back in the day right? There are a few pics in that group that I've never seen and I was visiting the Whittier plant as early as '88-89, usually trying to talk Tim P. out of some Skunkworks parts The shot with the Lancers and the 87 CSX's co mingling in the back lot is sweet Great thread
So the Hans Herman Head L body is definatly the #001 86 GLHS but the early Lotus white P body? Birthday car?

LOL, no it was a WPC club thing in '87. I was astounded as well.

I believe the white car with the lotus motor is a daytona.. and I also believe that is '86 GLHS #001 but there aren't any shots confirming that.

"There were supposed to be a couple white p-bodies with T-III's..."
In '87?
Just amazes me how mich potential dodge had to obliterated both domestic and import car markets. The awd development coupled with the power potential of both the 8v and the 16v engines they were developing......just makes me wonder, what could have been.
The srt-4, 12 years later.... I'm definitely BLOWN away at what CS was doing in the '80's, that's pretty far ahead at the time.
