    The hunt begins

Well.. It's time to start my search for another Daytona, I regret selling my 89 C/S every day.. for starters im curious as to what kind of change I'll be dishing out for a rust free 2.2 turbo II 88 Shelby Z. It wont be $700 like my previous and I have to learn this one the hard way. So, everyone please give me your input on this..

Best of luck on the hunt. If you can travel to find a nice example that's the best route to go.

In 89 silver was the rarest color. Only 2xx of the Daytona Shelbys were made in that color. If I found a really nice 89 with a sunroof I would have to buy it I think.

Obviously prices very a great deal depending on condition. Also, your own definition about condition is rather subjective and would have an effect price. That being said, if I were looking to buy a decent '89 Daytona Shelby I would expect to pay somewhere between $4000 to $7000.

The AGS cars wouldn't have all the extra body stuff you don't like, so the 89's should fit the bill for you too. There was a guy in Twin Cities selling a 16K mile AGS Daytona here this past summer. Black with red interior I believe. No contact info though. Was asking WAY to much for it. Cordes, I had a silver 87 cloth TII shelby Z. I really liked that combo. Tough to find today though. Good luck with your search.
