That's what LIFE is. Belt breaks on garden tractor. Grass trimmer breaks. While fixing that heater core goes in wife's car. While rearranging cars to pull that in garage the garden tractor starter goes. Two years ago it was $15,000 hail damage to house, $19,000 to 3 cars. To get the house resided at a reasonable cost, I stripped two layers of siding including asbestos to keep the EPA away.

Thats how it was with my daytona. Get money to buy parts, wp goes out on the truck. Money, tires. Money, college books for fiance. Once in a while life throws ya a bone. Best hoard it, and hide it for when ---- goes south and you need a little pick me up.

    Re: why me

yup things break. its just how it is unfortunately.

i remember last winter, the starter was going in my neon. stranded 5 min from the house. AAA tow lol.

fix the starter the next day. go to town. fuel pump dies in the parking lot.... stranded 5 min from the house... again.

this time my wife towed me home with the subaru.

or several years ago..... we had a different neon as the "emergency car". 200k miles. pretty whooped.

had to fix something on the subaru. go to get in the neon.... starter shot. doh.

shoveled the snow out from in front of the car. threw a piece of carpet down. changed the starter in the yard.

    silly cars.

Wait until you have two cars and a house which all seem to be jealous of each other. i.e. they see one getting the attention and they play up. Usually with the house, it's the plumbing for some reason, this last month has been the first time since I moved here though that I did a major job on the car and a tap washer didn't blow out or a drain start leaking or something.... but then I did have a long string of time consuming things go wrong on the car... basically, I've had a wrench in my hand since spring.

663csx-t Don't worry. Life will wear you down till you don't even feel sorry for yourself but just keep on going like a mule in the desert pulling a cart.
Oh wait we are supposed to cheer you up! If things didn't keep you busy fixing them, you would be bored stiff and watching porn.
