Question Need electrical help with minivan tailgate switch

Okay my tailgate opening switch won't work. I know it's supposted to open with the ignition to the "on" position but it won't. I am 99% sure that my switch itself is not the problem and I know the tailgate actuator or whatever that pops in the tailgate to open it is not messed up either. So it has to be something wrong inbetween the switch and the tailgate but I have no idea how anything is wired up and have no wiring diagrams. The switch has 4 connectors for it which confuses me too because I would just think it would have 2 wires. If someone could help me with how this thing is wired it would help a lot. If I have to just wire a switch of my own that would be fine because I would love to be able to pop the tailgate with no key in the vehicle at all. Anyway, any help at this point is better then what I have. Thanks in advance.

Its also wired into the neutral safety switch. Try opening it in neutral. I know my button is weak so I have to jiggle it to make the switch work.

Well if your as dumb as me you might want to check the fuse panel . I drove around for 2 years without it working and couldn't figure it out only to finally notice that the fuse for it was just plain missing.
