I just swapped a GLHS dash harness into my GLH for a turbo swap.
My carbed GLH came with an in tank electric fuel pump from the factory. A black wire and a black wire with a green stripe plugged into the harness.
That harness went into the back of the fuse box, to a ground, to the harness firewall plug, and to a green box (looked like the intermittent wiper box) under the dash. It was all factory and bundled in with the original harness....so the electric fuel pump was stock....even though it was carbureted. (back when it ran carbed, if that box was unplugged the fuel pump quit running). With that setup, it primed with the key, then came on when it started.
Anywho....
Now I have the plug from the fuel pump coming up by the fuse box and there is nothing to plug it into.
So I suppose what I am asking is...on the GLHS, where would the fuel pump body harness plug into the dash harness? Or where does it get power? Do I need that green box that was with the other harness to run it?
I'm confused...lol
I don't want to just wire it to a switch or on with the key...I think thats kinda hokie.
Thanks guys.
