This car is 1 of 269 Daytona C/S competition package cars built in 1989. Only 21 of the 269 had the taupe interior which this car has.

This was my buddy Scott Drega’s car. I bought it from him and drove it for a year. Its exchanged hands a few times, but its back in my hands now. If it stays at my house, I'll probably part it. I cant do that right now, so its for sale here complete.

The bad:
The car will come with Shelby Lancer rims with decent tires, not the rims and tires that are on it now.
Motor knock after leaving 1/8-mile strip. Continuous 9.4’s on street tires
Needs gas tank
Needs fuel pump
Needs sending unit
Needs cat installed
Rust spot on drivers side rear rocker panel
Rust spot on passenger rear rocker panel now
Rust spot where the e-brake cable goes thru floor
Car was hit by deer on drivers side years ago. Drivers fender & door replaced but cant tell that it
ever has been. Tail panel has been replaced at one time.

I have a tow-dolly and car can be delivered within 100-mile radius from Triangle, VA for a fee.

I am tempted to buy this car back ... but I don't have room and have too much as it is.

A couple other things about the car. ALL 1989 AGS cars were AC Delete cars from the factory. You can tell this by the data plate on the rad support which will have the HCD code. However this particular car has dealer installed AC.

The tail panel was replaced by me. The car wasn't hit back there, but someone bumped something enough to crack the tail light surround.

Besides being 1 of 269 total, this car is 1 of 21 with the oddball taupe interior.

i too had a grey interior twin to it, parted it out cause it was rotted bad
that beige interior looks kinda good actually

Any idea on what the knock is? rod bearing?

Haven't pulled pan or motor to investigate, but I bet a cracked piston. I did run a compression test after my buddy hosed it 2 years back, but I'd have to run another.
