    T04E 50 trim compressor upgrade kit for Garrett

    This compressor upgrade kit includes, a new AGP T04E 50 trim compressor wheel, a new 4 inch inlet and 2 inch outlet compressor housing, & a new T04E backplate. $170 shipped to your door if you're in US. I have a few of this kit.

    While the compressor upgrade part will bolt onto the the Garrett, it'll require some mod to make it work with the stock exhaust manifold.

    Awesome deal, if I didn't have a 50 trim on the shelf I would definitely take advantage of this. Looks like a nice housing.

    So if your using a TU stainless header would work or Tu cast Iron header would would work.???

    Nobody will be able to tell you unless they put all the parts into one car, and I can bet money that nobody have all those three parts together in one place.

    Buy one and find out would be your best option.

    so this will work with a stock early garrett turbo or just a T2 style? never seen a kit before

    It will work with all Garrett Turbo with the standard T3 center section, which Dodge TI, TII, TIII all have.

    You're sure the shaft size is the same as the stock TII turbos?

    Yes, this compressor wheel accept standard shaft T3 shaft.

    What about us T-IV, VNT turbo drivers? What do we need to upgrade?

    Putting this big compressor section on the VNT is probably a bad idea. The compressor and turbine wheels need to be within the same ballpark size-wise, and the VNT turbine and the t04e 50 trim compressor are in 2 different ballparks as far as size.

    Thanks...I think I am leaving this one as-is...my son likes it (read:Happy Graduation)...it should be plenty fun w/ the VNT.
    For me I'll keep searching...

    Its the same size BUT the stock turbine shaft is too short to use this in a stock turbo UNLESS the compressor wheel is machined down .250....its an upgrade but it isnt throw in on and go by any means.

    I'm ok with 5 threads on the shaft and nut's engagement. Torque them down to 100 inch lb and use green locktite.

    I would def. use some loctite...
