Exclamation Missfire/ Bucking after Engine Wash

    Hey Guys,

I sprayed some formula 409 on dirty parts around the engine bay, and rinsed it off with a hose. It started just fine when i took it for a drive after. But the next day, and for the past week, it has had a major missfire/bucking when it is started. It usually lasts around a minute. My wideband goes full lean when it happens. When it is warmed up sometimes there is a minor missfire.

I checked under the distributor cap and it looked dry. Any idea what could have gotten wet causing this problem?

    Thanks,
    -Jeff

It could be any number of places. Go through all the wiring connections in the engine bay, clean them out with electrical cleaner, blow them dry (if you have compressed air), and put a smear of dielectric grease in them to keep the moisture out. Let us know if anything changes.

I would be looking at the injector harness. Sometimes the injector's connector part faces straight up so if there is water in there it will pool up. Just a thought.

Dont push the red button. You hear me?
