Fuel sending unit

Ok what do I use for a fuel sending unit in an 86 GLHS? The factory one is destroyed. Tried the local parts store with no luck.

How did the E7073s work on your GLHS? I have a 85 GLH turbo 1 and the fuel gauge isn't working. I figured this was the first place to look into replacing...... but the E7073s is not a direct replacement for an 1985 turbo..... I know the car is basically the same...

I didn't find one new at all. I had to clean the old one up and reuse it.

I've used one from an '88 Horizon. (any '88-'90 TBI L-body). They are the same thing; just swap out the TBI pump with a turbo pump and you're good to go.

The E7073S is readily available. what is the difference between the F.I. pump and a Turbo pump?

The flow rate is whats different. The TBI unit doesn't flow nearly as well, and even less at the pressures our turbo cars require.
