Motor pretty much ready today. A bit left to do on the rest of the wagon before motor goes in






Tight fit back there between the BMF, turbo, waste gate actuator, oil and coolant lines, and cooling mod

I can't tell because he has the plastic covers on there but ask Rob if you got his patented infinitely adjustable Intermediate shaft Mod he's famous for... Looks super clean, I wish more folks would come get these California cars before they hit the crusher. I've posted endless for sale links but there never seems to be much interest in 'coming this far'

Oh For sure the infinitely adjustable intermediate shaft mod is on there! No expenses spared! Rob commented to me this morning that he hasn't seen such a minty gas tank in a long time, and the underbody has shiny paint on it.

Now I "need" a southern first gen Aries or Reliant to drop the wagon's turbo drive line in. Would take some major convincing of the better half though.

I'm thinking back to about five years ago when I got Rob to stall that swing valve on to my 2.5 L with a 40 trim turbo with the 63 A.R. housing, I've never seen a 2.5 L able to run up to 6000 RPM and still make power. Rob has refined this swing valve and it just straight up look nuts. I personally get to see Martin's car being built and it's freaking amazing can't wait to see it running Martin

Drove the wagon home on Oct 25th after a few hour initial break in and its first oil change. Now has about 850 kms (just over 500 miles) on the new set up. running on a +40 low boost (~5lbs) safe for break in cal. Made it from Winnipeg to Saskatoon without issue. Hope weather holds so I can put a few more kms on her. She goes back to Rob in spring for further tuning. Sitting in my garage:

She hunts a bit at idle but runs good otherwise. Rob's brother Brent rewired the dash for the digital dash to give me factory gauges, a tach and additional gauges. One boost gauge is post turbo and the other is off the intake. Little room for a muffler so rob put a turbo P body muffler on for this trip so I wouldn't go deaf. The drop in exhaust size from 3 inch to stock----1 7/8? means at 5lbs of boost in the intake there is 10 lbs just after the turbo

At 120km/hr on the highway (75mph) it was showing 8 inches of vacuum in the intake and 2lbs of boost at the turbo.
With the BMF intake the drip tray under the vents didn't need to be modified.

Your headlights were on? Does the tach have a backlight?

Not this one. Tach is more for looks than functionality me thinks. Each increment is 2500 rpm which isn't great for judging shift points. Will need a shift light at minimum. Or just plant a big ugly tach/shift light on the dash because race car.
