Selling my 1991 Spirit R/T. I simply don't drive it or have the desire to work on it anymore. I've owned the car for about 7 years. Original CA or NV car with around 140k on the bottom end. No real rust anywhere. Just very light surface rust here and there from sitting outside that can be wiped off with a scotch brite pad.
Car needs shift linkage fixed, and a proper tune. Obviously needs a paint job as well. It is pretty highly modified. It runs, just not very well. Once the boost clears up, it pulls very hard. It just needs to be tuned correctly for the modifications. I was going to go megasquirt or similar, but like I said above, I don't have the desire to mess with it anymore, and hate to just see it sitting.
Quick run-down on engine set-up:
Fresh rebuilt / welded head by Jackson
Holset HE351, Jackson DP, full 3" straight side-exit exhaust built by me. No muffler or cat. Fully exhaust wrapped. Quiet at idle, sounds wicket at full boost.
Custom tubular intake manifold, BBS TB, Precision 650hp model bar & plate intercooler. Turbo Smart race port BOV. Injectors are +40's and are probably close to maxed out.
Aeromotive FPR, 255 pump, snow performance methanol injection. Car also has Zex nitrous installed, but has not been run with the current turbo set-up.
FWP Stage 4 or 5 ECU
MSD Spark box with launch control, SRT4 MSD coilpack, aurora wires.
balance shaft removed. 1 coil removed in the front spring, air shocks and spring blocks in the back to help keep front end down on hard launches. Was able to cut 1.9x 60' times with this suspension set-up before all the recent big modifications. Best pass with stock turbo/intake, etc was a 13.6 @ 109. Went to one 1/8 mile race with it, only made a couple passes. It really needs to be tuned before racing it.
Set-up should be good for around 400WHP once properly dialed in.
The car has an oil leak somewhere on the front of the engine. I'm not sure where. Also, the power steering went out recently. The pump had a leak where a line connects, and was half---- fixed as I couldn't find another pump and needed to drive the car the next day. So that would need to be addressed.
The car also comes with a TON of extra parts. 2 heads, cams, stock parts, a rare tubular header for the TIII, etc. At least 2-3k just in spare parts included.
