I have been waiting for this to get finished. Maybe if this was closer since I have a 1981 KP61 that I was gonna do this with. $1300 shipping sucks if I use transport. If you part the drivetrain how much would the car go for? I would put a 6g72 & C4/C5 in there. I have all the glass etc needed to finish that car less my cracked windshield.

I hope some venture capital appears out of nowhere and you don't have to sell. Seems like it would save me a lot of time which my job does not give me. Junk my kp61 with no title after stripping it and upgrade.

Your old for sale thread. Is the SDS and the water pump removed from the car or is that part of it all?

Been talking about it with wife. The work you put into the chassis is the biggest value here but probably doesn't help resale to the average person. To duplicate the work would cost a LOT in time or $.

Re: RWD Hybrid 2.5 16v drag car, 96% done Milw WI $4500!

You absolutly right, when I was looking for Starlets the back halved (poorly built) ladder bar cars sold for 4-5g. The chassis will handle anything short of a blown hemi and track strait. Narrowed 8.8, 4 link, adj sway bars, coil overs, drag wheels, slicks, cage, alum and tube frame is more than asking price above.

If I part out chasis I imagine I can sell the chassis to the Milw/chicago racers. Not sure any TD guys looking to go RWD have any idea of the time, money and engineering to put this 904/hybrid in one of our cars.

Like to see this one run as is, its gonna be a loss so at this point I would rather see one of us keep it so hope someone starts making offers of any value. New turbo, new pistons, new machining, pro head, custom in/ex manifolds, custom convertor, piles of new parts again is over asking price...should be on way to someones garage right now!

Robbing a bank is risky, just grab $3500 and I will cover the extra to save time to get away.

At this point yes, if a TD guy will buy it sure. If I part it out to Starlet people and motor to TD guys I would hold out.

I built an old scooter out of a newer 70mph scooter, its gone over huge and have people who will buy them:
    https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...77405451_n.jpg
I want to fill my garage this year with specific brand scooters and old car metal for winter builds.
Car has sat too long, no free money to finish I just needs to get rid of all my projects, no time.

Re: RWD Hybrid 2.5 16v drag car, 96% done Milw WI $4500!

I did some researching last night and priced myself out of any swaps and I already have my odd projects going along.

I will go for 3500. I think I can bug Corby for some help with the SDS. I prefer megasquirt but this makes more sense if I avoid respending on things. I have anything you don't have to complete the car. Just need a new windsheild as I don't want to go lexan. They are freakin expensive for KP61's.
I wanted to lowball you 3200 and break even on transport cost. You are not in a "needs to be physically out of here" situation right?

Will the hood fit on without the turbo installed? Is the cage mild steel? NHRA happy? Does the diff have any sort of LSD? What is the bolt pattern on the front and the rear? I will have to tow it to the track with the slicks removed since it would be on a dolly.

The SDS setup as it sits right now ran 10's in Radowskis car, $3500 would be a gift, cash more important than getting car out of garage (its small), Hood wont bolt on without cutting, can be secured to roof for transport, mild steel and will pass easily, open diff/ needs mini spool at $80, widsheild was $138 last I checked, have 4 steel wheels and radials for working on or towing. Ford rear bolt has Explorer wheels, front toyota bolt has starlet front wheels. Call or text me if you have anymore questions Im at work but available.
