Forward Motion Stage 3 cnc head valve issues

Hello, Does anybody have a part number for a 44mm valve with .325 tip number?

Or I even could use a number for a -.050 keeper.

The issue I have is, The rocker arm touches the retainer before the valve tip on the intake side. The valves are correct for a 782 head. The exhaust side has no issues. I called around for a -.050 keeper for a 8mm valve and nobody makes one.
    Thanks Brian

Edit, I am using comp cam beehives #944 with Ls1 retainers. The groove in the valve stem is .050 to low.

    roller cam not a slider.

Lash caps didn't work either. We tried different keepers/retainers with and with out lash caps.

Custom valves will fix it, and you could correct the valve-train geometry in the process, but definitely not the "cheap and easy route".... but might be on par with custom locks!

Thanks Mike, I may go and get a slider cam untill I can find the correct valves. It's at a friends house in his garage all torn apart and needs to put his car back in the garage before he goes on vacation.

Did this issue arise out of using the Beehive's? Or did it already exist with stock style retainers/springs?

Did it have the little valve tip extenders on it when you got it from FM? Those should work?

The springs that came with it had the same issue, Unsure of the valve brand and no tip extenders.

Looked a slider cam rocker today. Still gonna hit the retainer before the valve tip.

Re: Forward Motion Stage 3 cnc head valve issues

If they are just barely hitting, adding some clearance might just be the "elegant solution"... If it would seriously compromise the arm then another solution would be in order.

Re: Forward Motion Stage 3 cnc head valve issues

I did grind one rocker to clear, It left me with 0.020 of a step on each side. Not good enough for me so that idea didn't work.

Thanks to Todd (4 L bodies) I will have keepers that are -0.60 down the stem more! Problem maybe solved.
