Here are some pictures of the donor car I picked up yesterday. And now today I'm struggling with weather I should take it apart or not.
69XXX real miles. The engine has been pulled and built previously. Forged rotating assembly, port/polished head with titanium valves, 50 trim turbo, FWD stage 3 tune. Supposedly on 18psi made 300whp, which is very believable. When I test drove it, the car would spike to 30ish (gauge only goes to 30) psi then bleed down to 24/25psi and was brutally fast.

    Wheel fitment is much better.

Nice R/T but you have to do what you have to do.

I also struggled with buying a running parts car and almost pulled the trigger but didnt. We are building from the block up.

That was what I was planning on doing before I found this. Everything is there and it's been built already. I can't build one for what I bought the car for.

Swap both ways. 16 valve in the GTP, 8 valve in the R/T

A built motor to your specs and a built motor to someone else's specs may not be the same thing thou. Less expensive thou for sure.

I'd love to have that r/t body when you have used what you needed. Slugmobile needs a new rust free body. Would take it with no motor or trans, or engine wiring.

When I get to that point I'll definitely keep that in mind. I thought someone on here might have interest in the body. It does have about a half dollar size blister under that pain on the passenger C pillar, but nothing besides that.

Really interested to see what one of these cars can do in the right hands (a Turbo-Mopar enthusiasts hands, that is)...

It could be put to good use keeping Slugmobile alive for years to come!

Is Slug Slug if she is so rusted out she can't be enjoyed and driven?

A replacement body will be painstakingly recreated to be identical to the "original". It will be like that Futurama episode when Fry was in the market and he saw stuff for sale on display and there were stuff labelled "slug", and "I can't believe its not slug"!
My goal is to have Gus' car to enjoy for the next 20 years, or more. The current body won't make it.

Sorry to OP for off topic.

Re: 91 Consulier GTP Series 2

So when on bought the Spirit I fragged the factory BOV on the way home....apparently they aren't built for 30psi.... Found the vacuum leaks that were causing the boost spike and redid a lot of the vacuum lines and caps. Picked up a nice turbosmart BOV and got it installed today. The car runs at 18psi now and won't hold traction at all. I'm still struggling with taking the car apart, either way for now I'm going to drive the Spirit as is so that I learn the engine/trans better. That way I know what I have. I might just start looking for a masi head/engine for the red consulier and an SRT4 engine for the black one. I just hate that this engine is in such a nice car -_-

While using a T3 would be cool and "historically correct" I would do a SRT4 swap. Just makes so much more sense. Parts are available, no timing belt issues, and a MUCH larger aftermarket. In all reality you could buy a wrecked SRT, use its factory harness/ECU and have it reflashed/tuned to 300hp and have a very reliable very fast car. The instant boost of the stock SRT turbo in one of these I think would make for a great combination and it would have the driveability of a stock motor. Down the road if you really wanted to make it a MONSTER you could go big turbo, add some cams, get a retune and make 500hp.

Finally got the new clutch in the car today, have to wait for another day to get the trans put back in. For anyone wondering the trans won't fit out the driver side wheel well. However, you can get enough separation between the block and the bell housing to get the clutch swapped.

Molsler's personal car has a SRT4 engine in it.
