    Ditch the sealed beams???

soo been thinking looking wondering if any has ever ditched the dual sealed beam headlight for a single composite housing.. im looking at this for the lancer.. i know a few vehicle out there offered both dual seald beam and composite... and the one that sticks out to me is the 88-94 chevy truck... im wondering if there is a way to make them work in the stock area location on the Lancer... anyone ever do such a thing... i know i can do the H4 conversion housings but they to me all look too gaudy!! too rice looking... i want something that subtle but noticable, like when you look at it and say hey something is a bit different here...

I think the Caprice had a composite headlight around 1990 or so.

I Pchopped something with this like a week ago. Looked exactly like those composite chevy lights. Worth a try with some cheap used lights.

Caprice lights. Theres a pic on the other site if i can find it with a 86 z with the caprice lights, they look really good and according to him throw a good beam. Hes in canada though so his lights may be of a different standard than us models.

Glass headlights stay crystal clear until the day they break and still cost less than regular capsule bulbs...

I would stay with H4 housing and wire in four Hid 6000k kits and then and a Hid kit to the driving lamps as well .
If you want get some lens covers .

Im not a fan of the new style H4 conversions... you know with the little projector lense and the halos around the housing... i know Hella make some that are like just regular sealed beem light but as the name implies there are Hella expensive... and the cheap ones just dont last... James i had the clear light covers on the front untill one day on the hwy one decided it wanted to take the next exit and i didn't... that i was PO'd about... original clear cover too!! i loved the clear ones.. i am going to look into the Caprice headlights... on the square body caprice i know they did do a year or 2 where they use composite housings instead of the sealded beams... plus the composit housings are way lighter than the sealed beams
