Trying to decide to keep the rear brakes as they are (88 Fireo) or change them to caravan ones like I have on the front.

I would go with the Caravan brakes because as I understand it, those Fiero brakes aren't exactly a dime-a-dozen anymore.
Nice drive up to Stone Hedge in Washington...the long way. Great drive through the hills.
On the way out of Stone Hedge I had an axle go bad. 100 mile tow that afternoon.

On the good news side, got my high flow intercooler today.

Wow, that's an unusual break on the axle! I don't like it when carnage happens, but I enjoy looking at the pics if that makes any sense. The intercooler looks pretty sharp too!

Looks like it's time for the GTP guys to put together a DSS group buy.

So, I knew it. All along I knew it, back when the ancient Britons and Warlocks and Merlin were in Washington!
That IC, you fixed the bend and increased the IDs?

"The sole condition which is required in order to succeed in centralizing the supreme power in a democratic community, is to love equality, or to get men to believe you love it. Thus the science of despotism, which was once so complex is simplified, and reduced . . . . to a single principle."
-- Alexis de Tocqueville
"One of the methods used by statists to destroy capitalism consists in establishing controls that tie a given industry hand and foot, making it unable to solve its problems, then declaring that freedom has failed and stronger controls are necessary."
--Ayn Rand
"To evolve, you don't need a Constitution. All you need is a legislature and a ballot box . . . . things will evolve as much as you want. All of these changes can come about democratically; you don't need a Constitution to do that and it's not the function of a Constitution to do that."
-- Justice Antonin Scalia
Yes, but Ken did it for me.That IC, you fixed the bend and increased the IDs?

Johnny...man, I'm SO sorry I didn't make it! I was on my way, too! The Masi decided it didn't want to go and I ended up being towed home, too. Still diagnosing the issue. Haven't found the root cause, yet. Ended up being kind of a bummer of a weekend, except the weather!
Worse for this guy.....
Was it Brent or Kyle that cursed you and asked if you had problems with axles breaking right before it broke?
I don't know.....

Maybe the two lengths were attributed to one being pulled ou and one not. I ended up using the shorter one and it fit perfect. The welds between the two were so differant. I welded up the bad one anyway and it is now a spare.

With the axle installed. All was good with the world.
The next day went to a Cars and Coffee.
