Are you actually going to stay with the Pink and Teal color combination? Haha

    Looks really nice.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Finally getting to the smaller issues of my Consulier restoration.
Here is a photo of the damage that was on my car when I got it.
Bought some honey-comb aluminum that has been powder coated black.
Hope to replace the damage with this.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Got the old one out and the new mesh cut and in place.
Hard to see, but it works.
Would have liked to have had it made of a little thicker material.

I am in California. Visiting family...brother and dad.
But Saturday and Sunday it is car show day...largest Mopar show
west of the Mississippi. Called "spring fling" in Van Nyes.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

My brake light switch died in southern Calif, not a switch to be found. Headed home using the emergency flashers when coming to a stop. Found the switch in central California on the way home. But will install it at home as it will need wire splicing...not a plug and play thing.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Worked on the brake switch issue today.
These are hard wired in so I went to a yard and got the correct pigtail end so I could wire that in. That way the switch and just be plugged in and out when needed.
I got the new switch for a 89, as is needed 6 wires, where I was told by the parts store computer the 88 was a 5 wire. Only issue I had was the threaded part had a hard plastic rib down the threads what needed taken off then had to use a thread chaser to fix the threads. Its installed and works.

I looked close at the original one, it also had been "doctored". They took the part and used a die to make threads.

Clutch slave cylinder is going out!
While on a nice drive up highway 101 from Coos Bay to Newport (100 miles one way),
the clutch petal felt soft. Saw it was low on fluid, added some but now need to pump it
twice to get it to work. By time I was home it was very low again. Time to fix it!

Got the clutch slave out today. Not too hard. One bolt for the rod linkage. Two bolts that hold it to a bracket. And the fluid line. Arrows show where it is.

Took it 230 miles away for a car show (and to see my mom). They put me front and center.

There was also one Shelby-Dodge there.

    - - - Updated - - -

523 cars were registered. Plus more parked all around that just showed up. City blocked of many streets around the main parking area. Amazing show! Dodge was the feature cars as it is the 100 year celebration.

A few more shots from the show.
