Looks like Discount tire and America's Tire has these.
If those are the ones I was checking out earlier they are an H rated all season type of tire. the R1Rs are a much better choice IMO.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Took out my seats. Removed the center console to get at the throttle cable.
Changing the throttle cable. The one thats been in there was a temp one from a boat throttle.
Adding some carpet to the lower sides, right under the doors. It was missing when I got the car.

Maybe I'll change the speedometer to the new one while the seats are out. MUCH easier laying
on the floor with the seats out.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Installed the new throttle cable today. Fixed the cigarette plug/lighter....so I can use it as a charger plug.
The old (not original) cable was something I rigged up from a boat throttle cable.
It stuck up way to high, because it was a rod/shaft, not a cable. Way to stiff.
The new one fit great. Went to the stock bracket. Inside the car, had to use
a block of polyurethane as a spacer to get the right angle.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Part of the interior of my Consulier was missing, the part under the doors.
So I decided to fix that while my seats were out of it.
Bought some "wet board" cut a template from poster board and transferred that to the wet board.
Then cut the carpet. Then glued the wet board to the carpet. Then trimmed.

Also photos are of inside the car...before and after.

How are the dash lights attached and what are they? The dash I have for my car is new and has never been installed so there are no bulbs attached.

It is hokey. The lights are in rectangle housings that are just glued to the back side of the dash.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Sounds like an interview I saw from someone who saved an old 60's cab-over Dodge van...the dash literally had cardboard tubes glued on the back of the dash for the light bulbs. This was factory!

My new engine cover is now painted. Now to cut a hole in it for the "vent" I am building.
...after it drys a little while.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Got the seats back in today. Took the car for a test drive to make sure the new speedo works.
It turns on, shows 0.0, but after the drive it is still 0.0 and speedo is not working.

    I did something wrong....

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

Johnny, I am assuming you are using a VDO speedo? If so, and you are trying to use it with the Chrysler SDS (which makes sense...duh), I've seen a few posts here and there that the Chrysler SDS sends a really weak signal and some aftermarket speedos have trouble with them. I don't know how true this is, but it might be worth looking into.

As for your "vent"...as soon as I read that I imagined a '84-'84 G-body hood vent in the center. It would look cool, but the stock part weighs more than your entire hatch! LMAO!

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

The VDO speedometer is going to run off a VDO GPS unit I bought with it, not SDS.

As for the vent...I'll post what I am doing when I can a photo.
I have two ideas in mind. Am making both. Will show both.
