Talk to Mopar318 (Edison Bender) on here. He was doing upholstery work for people for a while. Work was nice.

I know, great work. Just don't want to send seat all the way there.
Or even take them apart and send the skins would not be something I want to do.
There is 4 or 5 pieces in each seat.

This guy knows how to do it. I get to help and learn also.

The wheels are on, oil changed…then decided to change the cal and injectors.
Test drive was great and bad.
Car felt great, suspension seems amazing.
Ran like cr-p. OH…stupid me, I forgot the 3-bar map that goes with the cal.
I'll do that in the morning and re-test.

I weighed the bucket seats.
The black ones I was about to install were 28.8 pounds each.
My Recaro's are 36.2 pounds each. Sturdy and leather!

Good leather is expensive. Upholstery labor is expensive. We charge about $600 for a club chair. I pay my upholsterer about $35 per hour

I changed to the correct 3-bar MAP this morning and now runs great!
A little longer test drive and, such fun. Even took it to a small parking
lot to get an autocross feel. Going to be fun!!

$35/hr for upholstery labor! That's more than I get paid and I had to go into serious debt to get a degree to do it! I suppose I probably get better bennefits and such, so that makes up for it.

Took the car to get it aligned this morning.
A much better shop than I took it to last time.
Here is the print out of what he did.
Drives much, MUCH better now!!!!

He needed to add something to the computer for it to run so...
Consulier was not in the computer (surprise!) so I had him pull up Lotus Esprit turbo,
but the rear of that car was not adjustable.
So we used Accura NSX for a base.

Nice! That should work. I always talk to the shop I plan to go through to get my alignment first and ask about their best tech that does that work. I then schedule the work. Once the car in on the lift I give the tech $20 and tell him what I'm wanting and there's another $20 when he's done. Yeah, it costs more, but not one time that I've done that have I left with an alignment that wasn't what I asked for and the steering wheel was dead nuts on.

Well, when I do it, I *always* get what I want and the wheel is centered. I pay for the lifetime alignements, so when I go in, I'm only spending the tip money. However, I'm in the boat of wanting to get the stuff to do it myself. It's not really hard, I just never had the stuff.

Yeah, I'm going to spend some money for a camber/caster gauge for this year. I plan on making my own plates at some point. When I did my Daytona before SDAC last year I got a better alignment than the last place I took it to gave me. Unfortunately with the tool I've made and some string it does take a while.

I miss working at a shop and being able to put my car on the rack every couple of months and tweak the alignment. I never dealt with a tilted steering wheel or torque steer until I left that profession.

If you don't mind a slight mess, 2 metal plates with bearing grease between them work pretty well and it's fairly cheap.

Johnny, Thank you for so much documentation on this project. There will be countless times I will be referencing this thread and your site while I work on mine. By chance, did you take exact measurements of the radiator while it was out? Also, can you provide specs on the radiator fans? You are being especially inspirational.

I can get the measurements...it is about 5 ft long....but will get exact for you.
