Johnny, if you could please, get a price for a second cover to be produced. I am certainly interested, however my timeline is a lot further out than yours.

    Dave,

I am having mine made without the louvers. I want to build mine with
a squareish hole there above the engine. Then I am going to have a
polished stainless trim and mesh covering the hole. So you can see
into the engine compartment and also lets air flow.

    You interested?

The mold for my engine cover has been started. No louvers in the new one.

Any plans for a spoiler yet? I grabbed one for my car when at rossin but it's one of the shorter ones and won't work for my car so I'm going to need one. I'm guessing your car will require the longer spoiler as well. If I get ambitious this summer I may look into making one but it would be nice to find someone that would possibly allow theirs to be dupilcated.

I have a spoiler also, but it won't fit my car.
The metal one I made is okay for not, but would like the correct one some day...or one close to it.

Engine cover progress looks good Johnny!
On the spoiler note, I picked one up while at the shop in October. It fits correctly on both targa and hardtop bodies that I have. It's currently being copied, I wonder how different your targa could be from mine.

If it fits mine, I would want/buy one. You interested in a engine cover with out lovers?

Yes sticking with 8v, sticking with what I know. Sticking with what I have.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

I you look at these two side by side you can see how much longer the spoiler on the green car is compared to the white one. What I see with my car is the wing would fit but the radiator slot is farther forward or the car is longer because the spoiler does not cover the radiator. I have the spoiler that the white car has on it. I'd need one like the green car has.

I need one like the green cars also. And it doesn't have the third brake light.

Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa build

Hmmm.... mine is very similar to the white one, but without the 3rd brake light. I think it might wrap over top of the 1/4 panels more than these two pictured. Additionally, I don't have a radiator to confirm fitment. Definitely interesting.
Another note about mine is the under side has " race car #20 " written on it. Maybe dig up some racing pictures?

Oh! And Johnny, I think a hole instead of louvers would be fine. Might be interested in adding a series 2 style scoop on top. We'll see.

    Re: 1990 Consulier GTP Targa

I bought these 8-6-13 for my Consulier.
    205-50-15 front
    225-50-15 rear
    Falken ziex ze912

Here it is not that many months later and I stopped by the tire store with a slow leak.
they fixed it, but these tires are shot. And they had nothing to replace them with.

i looked on line tonight, the 225 is imposible to find, the 205 size is easy to find.

what to do? Only tire this size is race tires. Don't think I want to use them to
go from west coast to east coast and back this summer.

R1R toyos come in 225/45-15 and would last long enough I think. They say 200 treadwear now.. used to be 140. They also have a 205/50-15 for matching R1R fronts.

Or maybe just do 205/50-15 all the way around for something longer lasting. I don't think 205 all around would necessarily be a bad thing.

225's, I'd like as wide as I can on the back.
