How easy will it be to remove?
Will you be able to enjoy no top, then pop on when you see bad weather when on a trip?

Yes pretty easy to remove.
REMOVE two bolts held with wing nuts.
pull up the front aluminum piece.
the two center pieces fall out
Once the canvas is on, there will be some velcro straps that will be attached to the
canvas sides and back that will need to be installed...or taken loose when taking it off.

I have never done this before and have no idea what is "correct" but
I do think this will work.

You could look at some Jeep tops too for ideas.
I have a BestTop Super Top for my CJ5 and the part you could mimic works well.
I could take some pics if you think it could be helpful.
You could stitch in some window seal rubber like they use on conv tops.
If you ever need it, it will be better if it keeps all the rain out. Of course, like my 'glass Jeep, you don't have to worry about the body rusting!

Got my fuel sender in the mail today.
Will see if I can take out the old one and install this one tomorrow.
Would like to get my gas gauge to work.

Also got my mirrors to replace the electric ones that are not working (wires not attached)
and the fronts of the mirrors are missing. Did not care if I had electro ones anyway.
These are a little smaller, might be nice they dont stick out so far.
I'll have to take the inner door panel off tomorrow to install them,
as those allen screws must have nuts on the other side, they just spin.

Took the exhaust system off today. Not much to it.
Changing the turbo housing to a 3 inch. Then making 3" system.

You should try out one of those super high flow MBS catalytic conv if you plan on keeping one.
And you're right there is not much at all to that exhaust!

PM sent.
Breaking one bolt delayed this. Drilled it, but had to run to the hardware store for the right size easy-out.Took the exhaust system off today.
------------
Got it back on today!
Need to build the exhaust now.
Started it up the way it is, sounds terrible.

Took a rear shock off today to see what it was and to find out brand and part numbers.
It is a Bilstein #180 90.

I had pulled the door seal from a 1996 Caravan sliding side door, thought I might use part
of it for my targa convertible top. My cars door seals were taken off years ago (they were about to paint it)..
I tried this seal on my doors and they work perfect. Was 4 inches short for doing both doors. I got another
seal today from a 1999 and it was the same.

Got my Monza 3" tip today. Almost ready to build my exhaust.
I will paint the yellow black or teal....not sure yet.

Took the passenger side seat out. Removed the carpet panel behind the seat.
So I could....Fix/replace my fuel sender this morning. Old one was a little nasty
looking. The new one is installed and it works!
While the seat was out I laid down and stuck my head under the dash to see
why air duct hoses were hanging down. Put them back in place and zip tied them.
Should stay in place now.

Worked on the exhaust. Drilled the flange of the coverter to match the factory one so it bolts up the same.
The cut the end to angle it so the tip would go out straight. Cut the tip as short as I could, welded on the V flange.
So this part is on and looks good. Hate the yellow, painted inside the tip teal to match the car.
Next will be the down pipe-to-converter.

This is a plate available in Oregon, it matches my car colors. Hopefully I can get one soon like this.
( With a little photoshop I added it to the car)

They just happen to have a teal plate there? Seriously? That looks real good with the teal tips and salmon plate!
MinivanRider
I can't tell if I like the single pipe or my duals better out back...It looks good with the teal insert and the salmon plate for sure Johnny.
Finished the exhaust today. Finished installing the other mirror.

Test drive.....SO MUCH BETTER! Boosts quicker and goes to 12 now, was only going to 10 before.
And went to the gas station, added $20, tank went up to 3/4. Nice, was stuck on 1/2 so guess
that new sender works.

How's the sound compared to the Supertrapp?
Maybe it's because I'm used to my lightened flywheel, but it seems like that engine doesn't rev very fast. Or were you not stabbing the pedal, just pressing it gradually?
Sounds good...
Got my soft top ready to sew and add the straps.
Glued and stapled!
