    "L" body NON-A/C Heater(climate control) housing

Deleting the A/C from my GLHS and, I need the heater box from behind the dash of a NON-A/C car.
    The housing, controls, etc...
(note: I HAVE the original A/C housing(without evaporator core), that I'd gladly trade for this set-up)
I understand that I don't HAVE TO replace the housing to remove the A/C but,
I also want to remove as much weight from the vehicle as possible.

If you happen to have only parts of the swap, let me know, I may take things as I get them piece by piece.
    PM me or, respond here!

    Thanks!

I have a non A/C box sitting at my moms house. I am not sure if I have a spare control head that is not broken. I'll check and take some pics for you this upcoming weekend

Becareful the two heater boxes are not excatly interchangeable. An A/C car pull in air from the PS of the cowl, while the non A/C car pulls it from the center of the car so you would actually have to cut out a hole and block of the other one.

+1 on this. Do yourself a favor and just pull the evap core out of box and re-install. Changing this all over to non-AC will be a ton of work. You will also need to cover hole where H valve goes thru firewall, as well as what is mentioned in post #3.
Want to remove even more weight? Remove entire HVAC box and seal cowl area up. Heaters and defrosters are over-rated (lol)! Then you can claim your GLHS is a 1 of 1 that came with factory HVAC delete (hehe).

Probably should've got on here and, updated this.
I spoke to a few of my TD/TM friends and, got that same advise.
I've already removed the evaporator and now,
I'm just going to see what else I can do to the box to lighten it up a bit.
The box is a feather without the evap in there.
So, I think I'll be OK.

Once I heard the headache of a procedure involved, it changed my mind a bit.
Thanks guys for the input and,
    have a great day!

I appreciate your efforts and, I hope I catch you in time before you spend any real time on it but,
I've decided to keep the factory box and simply leave the evap out of it.

Once again, I thank you for your efforts my friend.

Not a problem. Didn't get a chance to get over there to look for it. Glad you got what you want to do figured out.
