Engine Leak and fuel pressure problem.

    Hey everyone,

Got two questions for you, first I have a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on my turbos unleashed fuel rail is the fuel pressure suppose to go all the way down after the car is turned off? It stays at pressure for about an hour then looses it all. I do not see any leaks at all just something I noticed. Next is my leak that I am trying to find, oil I'm assuming but it is not loosing much fast it kinda gets all over the side of the block and just misses the axle, anyone know what is a prime spot to look on that side of the engine
( picture attached ) everything on the top part of the engine looks clean. Only thing I can think of is the power steering pump but ill have to check that tomorrow.

    Thanks !

The fuel pump thing isn't a concern. I can't make much of the leak though.

Ok good to know about the fuel pressure. The spot on the ground is the leak but the area above it does not have excessive oil/liquid on it.

Could your oil leak be the seal in the intermediate shaft that drives the oil pump and distributor?

So I crawled under there today and cleaned everything up and let it sit for the morning no leak............then I took it for a little drive got it warmed up and then let it sit............went back under there and the leak is on the passenger side two spots on the ground right inline with the corners of the oil pan. So looks like I'm replacing the oil pan gasket soon. Looks easy enough. but with this car who knows what shenanigans its going to pull.

Make sure that you clean the area thoroughly so you can be sure to know it's actually the source of the leak. I've thought a couple of times that a pan etc. was leaking only to discover that it was coming from higher up on the block and hiding on the way down.

You can add tracer dye to the oil, and when looking with a UV light you might be able to pinpoint where the oil is originating.

Many leaks are the galley plugs at the front and rear of the block, aka timing belt and bellhousing sides.
