I wanted to thank you to all the folks that made this event happen. Big thanks to JT & George for making the "new guy" feel welcome. I really enjoyed the car show, and the drags yesterday were a blast! It still blows my mind that you guys can get FWD Mopars to go that fast.

Anyway, you guys gave me a lot of motivation to finish my Scamp and have it ready for next year. I may be able to get it done for the Mopar Nationals, if I do, it will be there.

Back from another SDAC: sunburned, exhausted, and broke....

Have to give Maaaad Props to the OVC crew for their successes, with Reeves winning the Q8, BigBruddah with best G Body in the car show, Fleckster making it to the bracket final, and my Son RacinNathan second at the Auto X by about .10 second....

Can't wait till next year....

As usual I took virtually no pics and I'm again disappointed by that. Here are some pics I took though...



Some snacks at the car show right before awards.



Fleck saw this bad lad while lost on the Road Rally. I showed Joy the pics, but she wasn't too impressed for some reason. Perhaps she knew that it had a slant 6 in there before Fleck looked up the vin?



Someone decided that Mike Marra was my identical twin so we had to get a pic with one another.


While Zima is a girly drink and had solely by a few chapters, this stuff seemed to be manly enough for everyone at the convention this year.


As usual there is no room for a beast of any size in our vehicle on the way home. This year I made sure to buy only 5 center caps and a head too!


We stopped off for a quick sandwich on the way home and got a few pics in an old covered bridge.

I had a Crestwood wagon like that, except it come from Dodge with a 383 HP engine and a pistol grip shifted 4 speed.
I like L bodies better.

I've been looking for a cool old wagon to cruise in on occasion and also to tow with. I would love an old Monaco.
