That H1V8 weighs half of what our 2.2s weigh and can make double the power.

There is a You Tube video mentioned in the TD thread that is really good:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y45i0Yi8oo
There is also a copy of the article from Car and Driver that lambasts the car on the net as well, and another article about the Sebring challenge referenced in the video.
I knew that they had the T2, and the later models had the T3 and assumed the references to them as Shelbys was incorrect, but the valve cover on the Series 2 in the video says different.
Only 1 car got a t3 motor and i was told Mosler is keeping that one for himself.
The Consulier Commuter (RamChop) and the other van were kinda neat... ugly, but neat. The MT900 is in Forza, be cool if they added the GTP.
What electronics did they use? SBEC?
I will find out soon and let you know
I have been wanting one of these for years! I meant to make the short drive down there when I lived in Fl, but never got the chance.
IIRC they used MP SMEC's for control (you can actually see it in the one picture above next to the engine mounted on the left side). A few years back they sold off all the spare drivetrains they had....all brand new TII/A555 combos, never run, on pallets.
I thought they made a few with the TIII for racing purposes, but they were never sold that way. Obviously they made 1, but I thought there were a few more.
I personally agree that putting the NSRT4 driveline in it and making a monster out of it would be the way to go. Sure, all of our engines would be cool if only to keep the car fully retro '80's. If you really wanted to make something of it, a newer, still supported driveline would be the better way to go.
I do have to say, if I got one with no engine....yeah, that Masi would look SWEET under that bonnet!!
I would just do a stock turbo 3 bar setup and have fun. The things don't weigh anything. You don't need rediculous HP to go fast.
Agreed. The most it weighs is 2200lb. 300hp would give you 272hp per ton. A C6 ZO6 has ~320hp per ton. The Intruder with the LPE LS1 had 330hp per ton.
No sense in having more power then it can put down.
A high revving 16v 2.2 with a very broad powerband (3500-7500ish) making 350-400 whp would make that thing a rocket. Area under the curve for the win!
That sounds like a winner Pat
