Re: Consulier GTPs up for grabs...

I wonder what tests they used back then to certify low production cars like this. Knowing what I do about composites (they typically don't take impact very well), it seems to me that if that thing took a 60mph hit to the nose from a non-movable wall it would have suffered quite a bit more damage. We also don't know the extent of the damage throughout the tub. Composites are very good at hiding very serious flaws. That's where non-destructive testing comes into play (ultrasonic, x-ray, ect.)

Now, I will admit that I don't know the construction of the tub. There are build methods that could in fact work very well. A good example: look at how the LMP cars did this year. They were going THROUGH the barriers!

I'm picking up one of their crash test cars soon to snag some parts out of it. Just fly in for a visit and you can give it a look.

It says they have the car raised up to give 6" of ground clearance. How much do you have?
    Mine is 5-1/2 inches.

The front hatch is much larger on the series two, would love to see a photo of what it looks like inside.

I thought I saw this posted somewhere, but there's a video of them driving it around. John Fitch is driving...it's really neat.

Any one figure out where/how to add a compression by-pass valve on one of these?

You're not really bypassing the compressor either...

T-II's don't need one unless you just want the noise.

    Thanks
    Randy

There is no logical reason to call an Engine a motor.

I would disagree. To stop air surge back to the turbo, T1 or T2 why would that matter?

I wonder if you can modify it for a diverter valve instead of a BOV

T-II has special hoses specifically designed to prevent compressor surge.

    Thanks

I have never seen this. I have seen the compression bypass valve in the air box on the later cars.
